NeoSynergy plans to double staff within nine months
Metromode, 3/27/2008 – Buying a car should be so easy. That's at least what the people at NeoSynergy are thinking.
The Bloomfield Hills-based start-up specializes in Internet advertising for automotive dealers. For now, it amounts to transferring car dealer ads from newspapers to Web sites and other online auto advertising. But the company one day hopes to make purchasing a car as easy as buying a book on Amazon.
And it's further on its way than you might think. NeoSynergy was launched in 2002 and merged with competitor MotorAlley last year. The new company now employs nearly 30 people and expects to double that number within nine months.
"We're trying to grow pretty rapidly," says Todd Ridley, vice president and creative director for NeoSynergy and a founder of MotorAlley. "We're doing a lot of cool things over here."
Cool enough to be called the third coolest car dealership technology by Automotive News this year. And NeoSynergy hopes to top that again soon. Company nerds, geeks and all-out smart people are working on a system that would allow customers to compare prices and deals from dealerships across the nation and begin buying the car with the click of a button.
"It's good for the dealer because we can get their news and prices out to a wider audience," Ridley says. "It's also good for customers because they can cross reference while shopping."
And it will be good for Metro Detroit if the new firm can continue innovating and growing at its current pace.
