UTO INDUSTRY EXCITEMENT GROWING FOR NEOSYNERGY'S WEB-BASED ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM

First commercial installations complete with enthusiastic dealer response

NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 28, 2005 – Pent-up demand and anticipation are being replaced with excitement as automotive dealers around the country go live with NeoSynergy’s 100 percent Web-based Darwin enterprise technology platform.

The software developer today announced its first successful commercial installations of the revolutionary platform at dealers in California, Texas and Michigan, with many others scheduled during the coming months.

NeoSynergy is showcasing the Darwin platform here at the 2005 National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) convention and exposition. Positioned as the next evolutionary step in dealership operations and sales systems, the NeoSynergy Darwin XE dealership management system and accompanying Darwin Exchange eCommerce application fully integrate and optimize dealer inventory, sales, finance, parts and service operations.

The new technology also provides unprecedented opportunities for consumers to interact with dealers online - in real time - to close vehicle transactions, schedule maintenance, monitor repair progress and order parts.

Also being introduced by NeoSynergy at the NADA event is the exclusive Darwin ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) application. This technology seamlessly integrates dealers with automobile manufacturers and critical third-party services, such as those offered by RouteOne, Payroll Online, 700 Credit, Motor Labor Time Guides and MotorAlley.com. This is done at no cost to the dealer, automobile manufacturer or service provider – a first in the automotive retail technology sector.

The Darwin ESB application has the same potential benefit for real-time integration using current standards for automobile manufacturers across all of their dealer system providers.

“We are not surprised by the enthusiastic response of dealers who have seen the Darwin platform in action, considering it was developed and tested with the full support and financial backing of the industry,” said NeoSynergy founder and CEO Charles Shamblee III. “There are a number of outdated, non-process oriented systems currently in use. These legacy systems have limited capabilities, high costs and have frustrated dealers for decades. The Darwin platform offers them a viable, cost-effective alternative – and is a long-overdue true enterprise system with enhanced operating capability.”

Darwin XE and Darwin Exchange link all dealership operations and departments through a single technology application. Current state for most dealerships is to have multiple software systems from multiple vendors with little or no integration. In addition, results of operations across multiple dealership locations and franchises can be tracked individually or aggregated at the click of a button.

“We were amazed how quickly our staff learned the operation of Darwin XE,” said Harold Kuhn, owner of Park Motor Sales in Detroit. “Teaming with NeoSynergy was one of the best business decisions that I have ever made. My operation is being run much more efficiently than ever before, which positively affects our profitability. The Darwin XE system’s reporting capabilities give me all the information that I previously had to dig deep to find – in real time.”

The Darwin technology platform also enables dealers to better facilitate online sales of vehicles, parts and service – leveraging the public’s increasing comfort with eCommerce. Logging on to a dealership’s Web site, a consumer can buy a vehicle, schedule service, arrange pick-up or drop-off service, provide authorizations, check repair status, pay electronically and order parts, among other services.

Dealership personnel can access the Web-based platform virtually anywhere via the Internet through wireless connections, unleashing them from the confines of the physical building and enabling them to visit customer homes, work places and other locations to meet with customers and coordinate sales.

“NeoSynergy really put some thought into the design of the Darwin Suite, especially the Darwin Exchange eCommerce application,” said Robert Brown Jr., owner of Brown Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, GMC in Eagle Pass, Texas. “Buyers and potential buyers quickly and easily find what they are looking for and then are able to do what they want. Back in the store, the system is easy to operate because the inventory is maintained in real time. Deals and leads are followed up promptly in the primary sales area of the application, all without having to re-key data in multiple systems. There’s no need to continue buying lists for prospecting. The wholesale parts and retail service applications also are cutting edge. This is definitely enhancing our customers’ experience and has opened an entirely new channel for sales and marketing what our dealership provides. ”

In addition to unmatched functionality, the NeoSynergy products save automobile dealerships thousands of dollars in initial system installation and upgrade costs. The technology platform is 100 percent Web-based, so all server equipment is located in a secure offsite facility and system upgrades occur in real-time from this remote data center rather than at the dealership. Dealerships also are not forced to sign long-term contracts and, on average, a dealer can save as much as 40 percent on monthly subscription fees versus other dealership management systems.

NeoSynergy is a provider of connectivity, dealership management, and eCommerce software to the automotive industry. NeoSynergy’s Darwin connection provides seamless, end-to-end data management for the entire vehicle sales process from manufacturers to dealers to consumers. Created to be inclusive in design but modular in deployment, NeoSynergy’s Darwin products allow manufacturers and dealers of all sizes to improve operational efficiency and coordinate the supply line across multiple locations and systems.
